Chief Lo’s Quarterly Block Watch Newsletter
I am very excited to share along with this week’s updates, the first West Vancouver Block Watch Newsletter from Chief Constable John Lo. Block Watch is a vital partnership with our whole community toward a safer West Vancouver. Chief Lo intends to update you, the valued members of our Block Watch program, directly through these quarterly reports.
As we work to reach as many residents as possible across the community our newsletters are available in English, Mandarin & Farsi.

Residential Break-ins
Unfortunately, two more residential break-ins were reported since our last update, in the Eastcot area & upper British Properties areas. In both, suspects smashed through second-floor balcony entries, stealing items from rooms on upper floors.
Security systems that do not include intrusion detection on all accessible windows or doors can leave residents vulnerable to break-ins that are not quickly detected. We urge all residents to regularly review home security needs, particularly if higher value personal items are kept in the home.
