● Resident alerted by security camera system to male attempting to break-in at front door of residence

● Patrol members assisted by Police K9 responded to area. Male suspect located & arrested


BNE Residential (Attempted) - Central British Properties

● Hydro reported cut at vacant home for sale. Damage to entry door found

● No entry gained


BNE Residential/Theft of Bicycle - Dundarave

● eBike stolen from unsecured residential garage


THEFT


Theft of eScooter (Suspect Arrested) - Marine Dr/Taylor Way

● Mall security reported male cutting lock on eScooter in retail area parking

● Responding officers located suspect at Lions Gate Bridge. Arrested without incident

● Suspect also subject of 7 arrest warrants relating to prior alleged offences

● Locked eScooter stolen from parking rack in retail area parking

● Vehicle license plate stolen from vehicle in residential parking

FRAUD


Attempted Fraud - Grandparent Scam

● Suspect called resident, falsely claiming to be RCMP, demanding cash bail for resident's son.

● Resident was able to contact son, confirm wellbeing and police were called. No financial loss

Attempted Fraud - Grandparent Scam

● Suspect called resident, claiming to be resident's son and that he needed bail money.

● Resident proceeded to bank requesting withdrawal. Staff recognized circumstances, advised intended victim that a fraud was in progress and contacted police. No financial loss
