● Occurred between 6:00p Oct 30 and 12:00p Nov 02

● Storage locker broken into

● Household products stolen

● Backpack, wallet, ID & bank cards stolen from vehicle parked on street

● No damage to vehicle.

● One fraudulent purchase on cards prior to cancellation

● Occurred Nov 02 2:49p

● Cellphone taken from restaurant table during a moment of inattention by victim

● Investigation to identify suspects ongoing


#22-13130 – Theft of Bicycle – 2100 Block Argyle Ave

● Occurred Oct 31st 03:00a

● Two bicycles stolen from carport

● Suspects entered through unlocked door


#22-12933 – Theft – 3400 Block Mathers Ave

● Reported Oct 28th

● Male associated to red Ford F350 pickup truck stealing Halloween decorations

● Value approximately $100


#22-12932 – Stolen Jacket / Wallet – 1400 Block Marine Dr.

● Occurred Oct 28 2:00p

● Male suspect ran into store, stole jacket hanging on chair in staff area

● Wallet, cash, ID & bank cards also taken


FRAUD


#22-12972 – Fraud – 1600 Block Esquimalt Ave

● Late report.

● Resident engaged in on-line relationship with suspect over several months

● On Oct 15th victim complied with suspect request for $3000 in Bitcoin claiming money was needed to help provide for sick father

● Victim has since been unable to contact suspect or confirm an actual identity


#22-13070 – Fraud (Attempted) – 6400 Block Fox St

● Intended victim called Oct 31st by individual claiming to be from head office of his bank, claiming to be investigating a staff member for fraud

● Second suspect joined call claiming to be a police officer

● 2nd suspect asked for & was given account information to ‘move funds to safety’

● Victim then realized fraud was occurring. Bank & police contacted.

● Accounts were frozen as 3 transfers from accounts totalling $10,000 were in progress.
